Most people spend their whole life trying to be someone they are not.
They keep trying goofy visualization techniques at night.
Shouting affirmations in the morning.
In evenings? Some airy-fairy delutional podcasts that make them feel good in the short term but making their life worse in the long term.
They don't necessarily know this that trying all of these techniques just reinforces the fact that they lack in the first place.
Allan watts reffers to this as "Backwards law".
The more we pursue positive experience - happiness/ Wealth/ control - the more unsatisfied we become, as the pursuit highlight their absence.
The berson who knows he is confidont - doesn't have to think that he is confident.
He is too busy being.
Person who is powerful doesnt have to think that he is poweful because he just is.
As the great philosppher once said:
"you will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consist of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life."
Yes i am talking about the great philospher Albert camus.
